  Glass, Concrete & Stone.  2024

Glass, Concrete and Stone is about discomfort and domesticity.  It is a project that aims to put you out of place and encourages you to explore a house that is not your home.  This body of work aims to put you out of place. This project seeks your insecurity whilst embracing possible reflection upon your own home. This body of work walks you into my home and welcomes you to look upon a personal past of falling up and down in domestic bliss. It welcomes you to make eye-contact with the black and white self portraits. Walk into someone else's house, some other family's life, some people's memories. It asks you if you remember these times yourself.

I Am Not Who I Should Be : 2025

These selected self portraits have been selected from an on-going project called ‘I Am Not Who I Should Be’. This project is an exploration into the darkest depths of human nature. It explores violence, change and mental health. This project was inspired by insecurity and not understanding your own behaviour. It was about performing. It is about change becoming a different side of yourself, before the camera. The use of the domestic setting is to explore an element of voyeurism. Looking through the lense, I invite the audience, into my space and therefore into my mind.

Soul Purge. 2026

My ongoing project Soul Purge, is a series of self portraits. It is named after my feeling of an inescapable burden of my permanent mental health condition. These images show my past, they show my future. A purge is aggressive, it is my urgency and echoes a previous unacceptance of my condition. My portrait images are my way out, they give me a key. This series of images show my ever wavering emotional well being. These images show my inability to have a quiet moment. The camera, the audience is watching upon me, you prey upon me when I am exposed.

Bio :

As mentioned before, my name is Evie Robinson. My work holds a deep importance to me, as it is my self expression. I am a passionate person and the way in which i work is very free. I can see my images, i can visualise how I can act in my images, and then I do it. It is very drawn back setting, pictures often taken in my home, where i feel most comortable, in order to put myself out of my comfort zone when i take my images. My experiences with mental health push me to reach depths I cannot reach anywhere else. My work opens a wound and can patch it up.
